In a way you could say that Cute Riot was conceived long ago in the 1980s. I'm a gen X'er who grew up in the Reagan-era Los Angeles punk scene, during the birth of "Trickle Down Economics." My entire life has been strongly influenced by those punk roots.

During the 2018 Trump hell era (will it EVER end??) I knew that I needed to do something to raise money for lefty political candidates and causes, so I stuck my progressive political beliefs, my graphic design skills, and my love for vintage kitsch and retro pop culture into a blender and turned them into Cute Riot! It all began with a button machine, but before too long the shop added tees, stickers, mugs and so much more!

Polly has a true rags to riches story! She was found as a stray in a lumber yard in Texas, who ended up in a high kill shelter on the euthanasia list. Nobody ever claimed her, so we don't even know what her life was like before becoming a stray. Thankfully a fantastic rescue pulled her off of death row, and we found her on Petfinder! She made the long trek here to Minnesota, and is so loved and spoiled just as she should be! Her ability to remain a happy, spunky girl despite so much turmoil in her young life is a true inspiration to us all!
